This project involved the installation of  a factory in Alloa. The door is situated in a dividing wall of a large factory. Previously, a PVC strip curtain allowed access between the two massive areas, but this meant all of the heat from one space was getting lost.

• The new high-speed door is only open for 10 seconds. This means it is much better at keeping the heat in – great for energy efficiency & carbon footprints etc.
• With sensors on both sides for forklift truck access, efficiency is also maintained.
• A safety beam prevents the door from lowering if person or vehicle is located below it.
• The door also has a “safety edge” which means as soon as it touches anything, it automatically lifts again (i.e. there is a back-up if the safety beam should fail).
